Goodberlet hit .483 (14-for-29) with eight runs scored, five doubles, a home run, and nine runs batted in during a 6-4 St. John Fisher finish in the Tucson Invitational. She recorded at least two hits in six games and drove in a season-high four runs in a 6-1 Cardinals’ win over Neumann. Goodberlet leads the team in hits, doubles, RBI, total bases (22), slugging percentage (.759), and on-base percentage (.545).

Leone recorded a 4-1 record with a 1.00 earned run average and struck out 20 hitters. She posted two shutouts and did not yield an earned run in three of five starts, beginning her career with a one-hit shutout and five strikeouts in five innings of a 7-0 Cardinals’ win over Sul Ross State.

8 Softball team notes...
Sophomore first baseman Michelle Tabisz hit .423 (11-for-26) with a .516 on-base percentage, and .538 slugging percentage in a 7-3 week for RIT at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla. She went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI in the Tigers’ 4-3 win over Ferrum. Junior pitcher Carlissa Cole posted a 4-1 record and 1.46 earned run average with 26 strikeouts. She threw a two-hit shutout with five strikeouts in a 6-0 victory over St. Benedict and earned a pair of saves. Head Coach Rebecca Stryker earned his first win in the Ferrum game as the Tigers came from a 3-0 deficit and won the game on a walk-off, two-run home run by first-year player Emily Courtney. The 7-3 start is the Tigers’ best since 2003… St. John Fisher finished 5-1 against Division III opponents in the Tucson Invitational.
