Leah Wasserman, Stevens Institute of Technology
Jr., A, Monmouth Beach, NJ/Shore Regional HS
Wasserman was named Most Valuable Player of the Empire 8 Women’s Lacrosse Championship, leading Stevens to its first conference title. She scored six goals and added an assist as the Ducks defeated top-seeded Ithaca 14-10 in the championship game. Wasserman scored twice and assisted on another goal in the Ducks’ 16-14 semifinal win over RIT.

Dowell made 10 saves and allowed only two goals in an 18-5 Ithaca victory over Rochester. She played 49:51 and registered a .769 save percentage.

8 Women's Lacrosse team notes... (May 17)
Stevens broke the school record for single-season wins (17) by posting its first NCAA victory, a 15-12 win over Montclair State on Wednesday. Junior Leah Wasserman, the Most Valuable Player of the Empire 8 Women’s Lacrosse Championship, scored seven times for the Ducks, who went on a 9-0 run over a span of 10:41 to erase an early deficit.
