Davis was named Most Valuable Player for leading Utica to the Empire 8 Women’s Basketball Championship title. She averaged 15 points and three rebounds in the two games, hitting 7-of-10 from three-point range. Davis hit a 3-pointer to give the Pioneers a 27-25 lead early in the second half, a lead they would not relinquish, in the 55-46 title game win over host and top-seeded Stevens.

Berry averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds as Utica swept the Empire 8 Women’s Basketball Championship and earned their first conference title. She scored the game-tying three-point play with 26 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime in the Pioneers’ 75-64 semifinal victory over defending champion Ithaca.

RIT finished with 12 wins, the second-highest win total in the program’s history. Senior Joanna Dobeck recorded her 14th double-double of the season with 19 points and 12 boards in the Tigers’ 73-60 loss to Potsdam in the ECAC Upstate Championship first round… Stevens set a school record for wins with 24, while capturing its first ECAC Metro Championship title in school history. Senior forward Dora Enright, the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, became the school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,704 points with 17 points as the third-seeded Ducks defeated host Montclair State 57-50 in the championship game. Enright totaled 17 points and 11 rebounds in a 72-63 semifinal victory over Staten Island. Junior guard Dani Dudek tallied 19 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds, and three steals in the Ducks’ 73-48 win over Lehman in the quarterfinals… St. John Fisher senior Allison Boehm completed her career with 22 points and 15 rebounds in the Cardinals’ 83-73 loss to Oswego in the ECAC Upstate Championship quarterfinals… First-year guard Devon Croll led four Utica players in double figures with 19 points in an 83-76 loss to 11th-ranked Kean in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Championship.
