Empire 8 on Facebook and Twitter

ROCHESTER, NY – Effective immediately, the Empire 8 Athletic Conference is part of Facebook and Twitter to allow followers of the conference to be even more connected.
“We are pleased to be able to use these sites to help keep our fans as informed as possible about the latest news in the Empire 8,” said Chuck Mitrano, Empire 8 Commissioner. “It is important to embrace and utilize these developing technologies in the same manner as we have been progressive on live video webstreaming and the many educational initiatives we undertake.”
There are links for both Facebook and Twitter in the left-hand column of the conference web site at www.empire8.com.
The Facebook link takes you to the Empire 8 page, where you can become a fan if you are a Facebook user. Starting an account with the social networking site is free if you are not already registered. The Twitter link on the Empire 8 site will take you to a page explaining how to receive “tweets” from the conference.
Empire 8 will keep the networking sites updated with some of the latest news in the conference as well as key results throughout the season.
