Empire 8 Announces 2009 Women's Outdoor Track and Field All-Conference Team

ROCHESTER, NY – Marcia McCord of conference champion Ithaca College was named Track Athlete of the Meet and Jessica Hoeffner was selected as Field Athlete of the Meet at the 2009 Empire 8 Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship hosted by Nazareth College.
McCord won the 200-meter dash (25.62 seconds) and the 400-meter dash (59.24 seconds), while breaking the Empire 8 Championship record with a long jump of 5.55 meters in capturing Track Athlete of the Meet honors for the second time in as many years.
Hoeffner finished first in the shot put (10.09 meters), placed second in the discus and javelin, and earned a third-place finish in the hammer throw to garner Field Athlete of the Meet recognition.
