Stevens Hosts Empire 8 Volleyball Championship on Saturday

Stevens earned the top seed and right to host the Empire 8 Volleyball Championship on Saturday. The Ducks (30-4 overall, 8-0 conference) will face fourth-seeded RIT (18-22, 5-3) at noon in a rematch of last year's final won by Stevens in straight games by identical 30-23 scores. The teams met in round robin play this year on Sept. 27 with the Ducks winning in straight sets.
Second-seeded Nazareth (28-9, 7-1) will play third-seeded St. John Fisher (22-11, 6-2) in the second semifinal at 2:30 p.m. The Golden Flyers won both matchups between the teams this season, including a four-setter on Oct. 26.
The semifinal winners will meet at 7 p.m. for the conference title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship.
