Stevens to Host Empire 8 Volleyball Championship on Saturday

Stevens will host the Empire 8 Field Hockey Championship on Saturday and Sunday. The top-seeded Ducks (16-3 overall, 6-0 conference) will face fourth-seeded Ithaca (8-8, 3-3) in the Saturday’s first semifinal at noon. Stevens won 3-0 at home when the teams met on Oct. 4.
The second semifinal will be played at 2:30 p.m. with second-seeded Washington & Jefferson (11-6, 4-2) playing third-seeded Hartwick (7-10, 4-2). The Presidents won 2-0 on the road when the teams faced off on Oct. 11. The semifinal winners will meet Sunday at 1 p.m. (time subject to change if Stevens hosts the men’s soccer final).
This year’s tournament winner will be the first from the Empire 8 to receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship.
