Dornes hit .435 (10-for-23) with seven runs scored, two home runs and eight runs batted in as the Tigers won all six games during the week. He also earned a win on the mound, allowing just four hits and two runs in eight innings in a 4-3 RIT win over St. John Fisher. Dornes, who opened the week with a home run and four RBI in the Tigers’ doubleheader sweep of Keuka on Tuesday, went 3-for-4 with four runs scored, a home run and three RBI in a 15-10 win over the Cardinals in Saturday’s second game.

Marsillo picked up three wins and earned a save as RIT won all six games during the week. He allowed just one unearned run and five hits in six innings in the Tigers’ win over Keuka. On Saturday, he earned his first career save with 2/3 innings of scoreless relief in a 4-3 RIT win over St. John Fisher. Marsillo picked up two wins in relief on Sunday, including tossing two innings of scoreless relief in a 4-3 Tigers’ victory over the Cardinals in the second game. He allowed two earned runs in 11 innings, did not walk a batter, and struck out seven.

Anunziatta threw a complete-game nine-hitter, giving up one unearned run, no walks, and striking out four in a 4-1 Stevens victory in the second game of a doubleheader sweep of Utica on Saturday.

8 Baseball team notes...
Freshman third baseman Ken Meerendonk went 4-for-7 with two runs scored, two doubles, and five RBI in the Stevens sweep of Utica on Saturday… RIT has won 16 of its last 17 games to life their record from 6-11 to 22-12. Senior third baseman Matt George broke his own single-season record for stolen bases and now has 23 for the year. He has also scored 47 runs in 34 games, also setting a school single-season record. The Tigers have guaranteed their ninth winning season in the last 10 years… Freshman rightfielder Justin Engelhardt batted .455 (5-for-11) with three runs scored in a 2-2 week for Utica. He went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, three walks, two hit by pitches, and one RBI as the Pioneers snapped an 18-game losing streak with two wins over Cazenovia, which entered the game with 18 wins in its past 20 games. Senior Kelvin Cabrera, who missed the last 10 games with an eye injury, went 5-for-6 in two games upon returning to the lineup on Saturday. Senior captain Brandon Lynch-Jacobson scattered two hits and did not allow a run in four innings of relief to earn his first win of the season in the Pioneers’ 6-5 nine-inning victory on Wednesday.
