Camp Good Days Courage Bowl Tickets Go on Sale Saturday
Tickets for the Camp Good Days COURAGE BOWL, the annual football game between the St. John Fisher College Cardinals and the University of Rochester Yellowjackets, to benefit Camp Good Days and Special Times, will go on sale on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 10:00 AM, via Ticketmaster. Camp Good Days COURAGE BOWL VI will be played on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Marina Auto Stadium, 460 Oak Street, Downtown Rochester, with kick-off scheduled for 7:00 PM. Tickets for the Camp Good Days COURAGE BOWL are available for a donation to Camp Good Days at the following levels: $5.00 for Youths / Students; $7.00 for Reserved Seating; $20.00 for a Family Four-Pack of Reserved Seats; and $15.00 for Premium Reserved Seating.
Ithaca Places 22nd in Directors' Cup Standings
Ithaca College finished in 22nd place in the final standings for the Learfield Directors' Cup. The standings for the Directors’ Cup (formerly known as the Sears Cup) are determined by a school’s finish in NCAA playoff competition in selected sports. Hillary Paul, a recent graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology and a member of the field hockey and soccer teams, has been named the 2010 Empire 8 Woman of the Year. St. John Fisher College soccer player Luke Lennox has been named the 2010 Empire 8 Senior Scholar-Athlete Award men’s winner. Empire 8 Pitcher of the Year Dan Jurik of St. John Fisher College Drafted by Atlanta Braves
St. John Fisher College's Dan Jurik has been selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 25th round of this MLB draft. Empire 8 Announces Outdoor Track and Field Awards; Track and Field Athletes of the Year All Earned Indoor Honors
Junior Marcia McCord and sophomore Emma Dewart of Ithaca College were named the Empire 8 Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Track Athlete and Field Athlete of the Year, respectively, as the conference announced the year-end awards for men’s and women’s outdoor track and field. Junior Max Orenstein of Ithaca was named Men’s Track Athlete of the Year, and sophomore Michael Dempsey of Rochester Institute of Technology was selected as Men’s Field Athlete of the Year.
